Coca-Cola

Or Pepsi?

I absolutely cannot stand the taste of Pepsi. I flat out loathe it. I drink a lot of soda, but I'd rather drink water than Pepsi. It just tastes so flat and lifeless to me. Most times it's Coke or nothing for me.

The exact same thing is true of my wife when it comes to Coke. She just cannot stand it. So we buy both when we go to the store. One shelf in our fridge is split down the middle, Coke on one side, Pepsi on the other. :teddyr:

"No Coke.  Pepsi."

(I drink nearly any pop, when I do drink pop - which isn't often anymore.)

Dr. Pepper or RC Cola(RC if I'm broke...it's 59cents a bottle.)

Considering my email address is a line from an old Coke jingle, I'd say I'm squarely in the Coke department here.

I'm a Creamy Soda fan, but give me a ice cold Coke when I'm thirsty on a hot day and I'm in heaven.

Well not quite, but it's damn tasty.

Pepsi just doesn't compare to me [not that I shy away from it, it's just that Coke is so much better...]

Neither. That carbonation chaws on my innards. Now I stick mainly to ice tea or bottled water.

Coke please, when I don't drink it I use it to clean the McNasty buildup off of my car's battery hookups.

Plus, pepsi tastes like flat sugar water. eeew.

Coke.  Can't stand Pepsi.  I'll drink lots of different sodas (mmm, birch beer, cream soda, orange soda) But absolutely no Pepsi.

The only time I drink soda is with Jack Daniels, which means I drink Coke.  I learned a long time ago not to order a Jack and Coke at Applebee's, because the communists give you a Jack and Pepsi - and there is a big difference in taste.

Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi is my usual choice.  But when I was a kid I preferred regular Pepsi over Coke.  Actually most people I knew and grew up with preferred Pepsi.

I don't drink either, but if I'm eating out and I didn't bring water then sometimes I will drink one or the other depending on what is available. Most places only offer one or the other.

Coke. It's the real thing, baby. Cherry Coke's even better, though.

I'm all about Dr. Pepper myself.  Root beer is pretty good.  I like a peach faygo from time to time too.

Coke.

I do like RC better, though. It seems to taste like I remember Coke used to...
Double Cola was pretty good, also. I think it's long gone.

Jolt Cola ("All the Sugar and Twice the Caffeine!" their ads boasted) was unbelievable; like a primitve form of that Red Bull stuff. I think it's still around, a bit fancied up, though.

I actually like both, believe it or not.

(I'm a teetotaller, so unfortunately nothing alcoholic beyond a beer with lemonade now and then for me.  :bluesad:)

I don't like any Cola, and only drink Dr. Pepper in a pinch. Mt. Dew and Mellow-Yellow are my type of drinks.

My mom's a pepsi addict.  She'll drink most sodas in a pinch but it's either regualr pepsi or vanilla pepsi.

I drink ice tea myself.  Honestly, I rarely drink soda of any kind, except when I'm mixing drinks of course.  I understand some people love their soda. This one guy I knew, his diet consisted mainly of cigarettes and pepsi.  I bet he lives till 120.

It usually isn't a day if I don't have a coke or two.  Also enjoy Ice Tea of any sorts, Sierra Mist and Mello Yellow which I'm not sure even exists any more.

and Mello Yellow which I'm not sure even exists any more.

Yes...it still exists.
I just had an ice cold one yesterday.

It's pretty good.
But not as good as Mt. Dew.

I was born, raised and still live here in Cedar Rapids,

And no...I don't live in a one room schoolhouse.   :teddyr:

But...I do live about 5 blocks away from the studio (http://www.grantwoodstudio.org/index.html) where Grant Wood (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grant_Wood), the artist who painted that design you see above, once resided.
It's near the building I live in and above a funeral home at what used to be called "5 Turner Alley".
I've visited it as part of the local art museum tour and it was really cool.

No soda, it's poison.  Though when I was a kid, I'd drink anything carbonated and sweet, though the cola of my choice then was RC Cola.  I stopped drinking it when my dad ordered me to remove my collection of empty bottles.

Coffee, but if I drink soda its Coke.

I've given up soda almost completely, I have to agree with Allhallowsday that it's essentially posion.  The high-fructose corn syrup is bad for you, and the aspartame in the diet stuff is even worse.  But on the occasions when I break down and indulge, I either go for a local favorite called Cheerwine (its' a cherry soda) or Dr. Brown's Black Cherry soda.

I'd pick a nice cold bottle of Canada Dry Vanilla Cream Soda any day.

almost all soda replaced sugar with High fructose corn syrup - questionable to it's health risks. That's why older people talk about how good soda's used to be back in their day...and it was more carbonated.

but try to find a soda with pure sugar vs HFCS (such as Goose Island from Target). major difference, now i only drink soda occasionally when i'm out somewhere (But mostly tea), and i only buy the real sugar drinks for home.

No kidding.  My father is actually from Iowa and I had an uncle who passed away recently there but my aunt is still out there.

Pepsi has flavour, whereas Coke just seems to be sugar in a can.

Pepsi probably is too.
But at least it doesn't taste like it !

Personally I prefer Sunkist Peach Soda and Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale (trust me it's nothing at all like any other ginger ale yo have ever drank.)
If I got to be pigeon held into choosing one of the two then being a good Southern boy, I'll go with Coke. It is stronger and has a better taste to me. I always found Pepsi to be syrupy and not as good.

For me, personally, it depends how I feel when I wake up.  Can't choose one over the other.  I'm more of a Mountain Dew man, myself.

Coke. It's the real thing, baby. Cherry Coke's even better, though.
I've been drinking that a lot lately.

I personally prefer Pepsi. Coke always seems a little insipid by comparison with it's rival beverages fuller, sweeter flavour.

Check in the Mexican section of your grocery store sometime.  In ours, they sell sugar-cane Coke imported from south of the border.  It's helluh expensive, though, compared to the corn syrup stuff.
