Why can't they make a musical of a zombie flick?  Oh, or maybe a kaiju film, like Godzilla.  That would be way more entertaining.

Bad live musical theater can be almost as much fun as a bad movie.

One of the best nights in my life was attending a performance of Sideshow, a musical that came out several years ago based on the lives of Siamese Twins Violet and Daisy Hilton. I will never forget the opening number, with the cast wanding around the stage making "Hot-cha!"  faces and waving their arms around "mysteriously" as they sang (I kid you not!):

Come look at the freaks!
Come gape at the geeks!
Their malformations
Give you you consternations
For weeks and for weeks.
Only pennies for peeks!
(Huge dramatic blast from the orchestra)
COME LOOK AT THE FRE-HEAKS!

I nearly wet my pants trying not to bust a gut laughing.

Later in the show the Twins have a big dramatic dance number where they fantasize being seperate and they both run around the stage and dance. The number ends when they do a dramatic hip "bump" (just like Disco dancers did in the 70's!) and are all joined up again. I think having velcro in the asses of their costumes was involved...

As a fan of both of the Hilton Sisters' films FREAKS and CHAINED FOR LIFE I realized after a few minutes into the show they had the twins on the wrong sides. Geesh, everybody knows Violet was on the left!
