Title: "The Host" hits DVD in the US on July 24th!
Post by: Jordan on April 25, 2007, 04:17:08 AM
Since release dates are always tentative, cross your fingers that the date doesn't change on Magnolia Pictures' upcoming DVD release for "The Host." Here's the Amazon page for the film: http://www.amazon.com/Host/dp/B000PKG8TC/ (http://www.amazon.com/Host/dp/B000PKG8TC/)

Though I own a perfectly good Region 0 DVD of this flick, I'm probably going to pick up the official Region 1 release... unless its a bare bones release. However, if there are a good number of extras on Magnolia's release, then I'm picking it up.

Great News!

Especially since I goofed around (as par for the course) and missed the chance to see it at a local theater, even after starting a thread here talking about how excited I was to see it.

"!" for me!

Sweet!  I can have that CG Korean monster goodness soon!  My master will be pleased!

Dislcaimer: Joe's master does not like you.  Please do not contact him.

I've actually been waiting for that flick for a while.  When my roommate and I saw the trailer on his computer, we were like, "WHOA!"

I got these early "Host" DVD specs from www.davisdvd.com (http://www.davisdvd.com) (an invaluable site for us dvd fanatics!):

Quote
Magnolia Home Entertainment will release the acclaimed Korean horror film The Host on July 24th. The DVD will be available in both a standard single disc set, as well as a two-disc special edition. The two-disc set will feature a making-of documentary, deleted scenes and multiple featurettes focusing on the creature, characters and the crew. Also look for Blu-ray Disc and HD-DVD editions day-and-date. Retail is $26.98 for the standard DVD and $29.98 for the special edition.

I'm buying the 2-disc set! I just can't say no to those extras!
