Supposedly Mrs. Miller was totally serious about her singing. She was a big hit in the 60s. Nobody seems to know if she was 'in' on the whole comedy thing or not.

Seeing 'WING' in that link makes me think we're in for some Asian-licious warbling!

When I saw WING on South Park a few years ago I figured it was just some strange character they'd invented to mock that William Hung guy.

Little did I know...

I remember Mrs Miller being prominently featured in Dr. Demento's 60 Second Audio Torture Chamber.

She did a wonderfully bad rendition of "Downtown."   You know... "When you're alone, and life is making you lonely, you can ALWAYS GO..."

And yes, I think the Cramps are easily one of the most unappealing bands of any I've seen.  Those physics-defying pants are an 80's legend.  (Kind of like Baba Yaga is a Slavic legend.)   Klaus, though... Klaus was a real, truly original freak.

I thought that would be "Everybody Wang Chung Tonight" by, well, Wang Chung. Wasn't the video considered likely to induce seizures when viewed under certain lighting conditions. I liked it at the time, thought it was a clever use of rapid editing, but I now blame it for all the rapid cut videos that folloowed and all the stupidly edited movies that were spawned as Hollywood copied the style and as those video directors began to direct feature films.

"Cherry Pie" was the most unsubtle Freudian mainstream video/song at the time and for years to follow.

I saw Michael Jackson's Thriller video not too long ago, first time in like twenty years.  Watching it now, I wonder how we could all have missed the signs -- he was real nervous around the chick, and he did warn her that he wasn't like other guys.

you missed the signs? I was under the impression he was reduced to actually parodying (if that's a word) his own weirdness, even by that stage. his falsetto speaking voice was a major giveaway...

my only bugbear concerning Jacko's music vids is that Eddie Van Halen didn't appear in the video to "Beat It"...he really needed a cameo to run on and play that solo, then get the f**k outta dodge, pronto  :teddyr:

Destiny's Child's Cater To You.  Basically, the first and last part of the video are good, but the middle did not make any sense at all.

Crash Test Dummies' Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm.  The song along with the video made no sense.

And Basically, any video from any band that goes the cheap route and does it from one of their tours.
