Title: Tomb of Anubis Weekly Updates - 05/07 - 05/13
Post by: AnubisVonMojo on May 13, 2007, 06:11:38 PM
Chocolate coated reviews and a dozen roses for all the moms in the audience today, as The Tomb  (http://www.tombofanubis.com) brings the following for your Mother's Day flavor.

Wednesday brought a Shorty review from Anubis for Smokin' Aces and two archive reviews for the appropriately named flicks Grim and Grizzly.

Broke-Ass Budget Disc Fridays welcomed yet another cheap-o review from Anubis, this time for the 1930s "who done it" flick One Frightened Night.

Today's new addition (not to be confused in any way with the bad New Addition...) is the next-to-next-to-last installment of Ragnarok's mighty Alphabet Project undertaking, as he puts his spurs to the '80s video nasty Xtro.

Loved the review for Grim. Saw that video in Blockbuster many a time and was curious what it was about.

Yeah, Grim is one of those rare titles that lives up to it's name. I'm waiting to see if Abominable can do the same. If you're ever curious about if a movie is bad or not, here's a good tip to remember: if the A-Pix (long since defunct by now I believe) logo is anywhere on the box, there's a 99% chance it's gonna suck like someone had managed to collapse a star inside of a rental box: cinematic black hole. The only exception I've seen to the this rule so far has been Jack Frost, but if killer snowmen having sex with Shannon Elizabeth isn't your thing, then there really is nothing at A-Pix for you.

Oh, and in the Re-Animator review, the "I'm coming for you, Hulk Hogan!" caption for Zombie Halsey smushing Dr. Hill's head had me laughing until it hurt. Literally. Brilliant caption.
