Title: A sadomasochistic Care Bears trade
Post by: Inyarear on May 31, 2007, 12:51:20 AM
Okay, here's the deal: at a library sell-off several months ago, I picked up a bunch of old VHS tapes of Care Bears episodes for a few bucks. I don't regret spending the money, but I'm not incredibly eager to watch any of them again after the first time.

They're all quite used, of course; the quality's not the best. I don't recall seeing any significant garbling or distortion strips running across the screen while playing them, but the color does bleed a little and they are rather grainy. The animation is the usual quality of cheap 1980s cartoons. These tapes did not have any covers and did not come in any cases when I got them, so they're provided strictly as is. The episodes are not in any particular order. They are:

The Great Race (24 minutes)
Lotsa Heart's Wish and Order on the Court (23 minutes)
The Gift of Caring and Bedtime for Care-A-Lot (23 minutes)
The Two Princesses and Care Fair Scare (23 minutes)

In addition, I have an extremely mind-numbing episode of My Little Pony I picked up in the same deal that I'll throw in for free:

Dancing in the Clouds (20 minutes)

What I ask in return? If I could, I'd like to have one full Care Bears movie on DVD. Failing that, I'll trade the lot for a DVD of any movie made from any overly cutesy and sappy cartoon from the 1980s. (The recently reviewed Rainbow Brite movie, for example, definitely qualifies.) I prefer it in widescreen format if possible, but fullscreen is acceptable. The more eager your cartoon movie makes you to be rid of it, the better. However, your offer absolutely must be a DVD.

PM me with your offer.
