Title: Check out the Bat-Pod!
Post by: trekgeezer on June 19, 2007, 07:34:38 AM
Pod?! it looks like it's part of the Batmobile.

Be sure to check out the link at the bottom to see the NBC video of the thing in daylight.

I'd take it for a spin!

I especially like the forward mounted machine guns.
Kinda reminds me of the speeder bikes in Return of the Jedi.
Cool!

Do you suppose Batman has to pin his cape down before climbing in?  I'd hate to think what would happen if it got caught in one of those massive wheels.  Like the ol' tie-in-the-pencil-sharpener gag.  :teddyr:

There are those 3 foot thick tires again... I excused them in Begins because Batman actually did some crazy driving that would require such things, so there better be at least one such instance in Dark Knight that excuses their return for this pod thing. It looks to be all tire! At this point Batman might as well be riding around on a bat unicycle that consists of one big tire with an engine and tear gas launcher...

Thank god you didn't say that 12 years ago when Schumacher may have heard you...

You can thank my parents' inability to afford a computer 12 years ago for there being no jet powered unicycle in Batman & Robin!

...oh man, that's a sig line quote if I ever heard one.  :teddyr:
