Title: I has a bucket Post by: raj on June 20, 2007, 12:35:11 PM I came across this website
http://ihasabucket.com/ (http://ihasabucket.com/) (http://www.ihasabucket.com/images/walrus_bucket.jpg) And I couldn't help but think that it sums up life pretty well. We all want to have a bucket and we don't want anyone to be stealin' our bucket. So here's hoping you all has a bucket. Title: Re: I has a bucket Post by: Snivelly on June 20, 2007, 02:56:41 PM Ah, the bucket saga......my kids can't pass a bucket at Wal-Mart without yelling, "Nooooooo!"
You're right, it does sum it all up. You work hard, you finally get a bucket you can call your own, then some jerk comes along and rips it right out of your flippers. Now, if he had a boomstick to go with that bucket, no one would steal it again. Title: Re: I has a bucket Post by: Raffine on June 20, 2007, 05:31:15 PM I don't know why, but that's about the funniest thing I've ever seen!
I has a bucket, thank you very much. Title: Re: I has a bucket Post by: indianasmith on June 20, 2007, 05:40:42 PM I'm from Texas . . . .
DON'T MESS WITH MUH BUCKET!!!!! (Great pic, BTW!!! I think I saw that duo at Sea World a few years back!) Title: Re: I has a bucket Post by: Raffine on June 20, 2007, 05:48:02 PM Which reminds me: What exactly is that thing?
An elephant seal? A sea lion? A tuskless walrus? An giant orangutan with the mange? Title: Re: I has a bucket Post by: Snivelly on June 20, 2007, 06:23:37 PM Which reminds me: What exactly is that thing? An elephant seal? A sea lion? A tuskless walrus? An giant orangutan with the mange? LOL! It's an elephant seal, but for some reason someone decided it was a walrus, and now captioned pics like this one of large sea mammals with or without buckets are referred to as "LOLrus" pics. (It's part of the whole goofy lolcats craze.) Title: Re: I has a bucket Post by: Andrew on June 20, 2007, 06:42:34 PM Now that is funny. Two pictures, a couple of words, but endless meaning. I feel like that all the time, except they are not trying to steal my bucket, the people who come tell me that I have to do something with it. All I want to do is sit and enjoy having my bucket. Why does it need to do something? It's my bucket.
 Title: Re: I has a bucket Post by: trekgeezer on June 24, 2007, 04:25:33 PM I luvs mah bucket! I wear it on my head to keep anyone from stealing it. For some reason I get a lot of funny looks when I walk down the street.

Title: Re: I has a bucket Post by: Andrew on June 24, 2007, 08:32:18 PM aren't there a old song about a bucket whit a hole in it? The only songs I know all involve drunk Scotsmen or lusty Irish maidens, sometimes both together. Title: Re: I has a bucket Post by: nshumate on June 26, 2007, 07:21:09 AM "There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza..."
Used to be one of the funniest segments on Sesame Street. Title: Re: I has a bucket Post by: Goji_girl on June 26, 2007, 07:08:29 PM I've always wanted a dark blue bucket to call my own. But people keep giving me pink ones! I hate pink! :hatred:
But beggars can't be choosers. I'm just sit by the creek with a dirty ol' frog in ma dirty ol' bucket. Title: Re: I has a bucket Post by: flackbait on June 29, 2007, 02:28:05 PM Funny picture!!
Quote LOL! It's an elephant seal You sure about that Snivelly. I know it's not a walrus becuase theres no tusks or wiskers , but i thought elephants seals had the wierd snouts. That said it is about the size of one Title: Re: I has a bucket Post by: Raffine on June 29, 2007, 03:11:51 PM I still say it's a colossal orangutan with mange.

That said it is about the size of one Well, I'm not a marine biologist, but I do play one on TV...... I'm not sure now. I had read somewhere that ot was an elephant seal, but after googling some pics I have to retract that. It's not a walrus, but maybe it's some sort of huge male sea lion. But when I googled "lolrus" I got this interesting image: (http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2475/heartattacksn9.jpg) (http://imageshack.us) Title: Re: I has a bucket Post by: Raffine on June 29, 2007, 08:59:53 PM Here's a pretty wild and creepy illustration of a walrus from the year 1521.
I'd call it some kind of a Lovecraftian Cthulhu walrus, myself. (http://www.wga.hu/art/d/durer/2/11/6/07walrus.jpg) "I HAS A NECRONOMICON!" Big bucket o' coffee this morning. Mmmmm, coffee. Meanwhile, the dog is kind of patiently waiting for his walk in the park while I'm watering the lawn. Post by: Allhallowsday on July 03, 2007, 12:08:25 AM aren't there a old song about a bucket whit a hole in it? The flip side of Ricky Nelson's 45rpm "Believe What You Say" was "My Bucket's Got A Hole In It" credited to "C. WILLIAMS" though I think it was Hank Williams who wrote and recorded it in the late 40s. I love that pinky-mouth kitty, Raffine. (yeah, on google) anyway, the male elephant seals are bigger than females and have what is usually called, a trunk. Title: Re: I has a bucket Post by: Captain Tars Tarkas on July 03, 2007, 04:28:25 PM Yep, it is a female elephant seal, which is why there is no trunk. The males are even bigger than that huge thing. I've tagged baby elephant seals before, we catch them and weigh them, avoiding the males and females. I've even been bit by them (luckily they didn't penetrate the four layers of clothes I have, otherwise I'd have to get a shot to prevent "seal finger" - their mouths have bacteria which basically make your fingers fall off if not treated.
One of the elephant seal baby calls was used in Lord of the Rings as one of the calls of the dark riders, which made a surreal atmosphere on the beach. The one in the photo is a southern elephant seal named Minazo Title: Re: "...my bucket's got a hole in it don't work no more!" Don't leave me an opening like that....pun intended :tongueout: Let me shift gears to the most sucky of household chores: kitty treatment, wherein I hold her down and my other half inserts a needle for subcutaneous fluid absorption by her organs due to kidney failure (hence renal poisoning)...I love that cat (do you know THE STOOGES "T.V. Eye?") "See that cat...yeh, I love her so!" That picture that Raffine posted reminded me of my now-old kitty when she was a li'l kitten, which of course, she still thinks she is, being a bubble-headed-pinky-lover... :twirl: (http://a153.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/73/l_0bc8a979c30344074583ef970ffb1cd0.jpg) |
