The object in the photo is the skull of a Mosasaur Clidastes that I found and excavated back in 1997. It is to this day the most complete fossil I have ever found. I found a Tylosaurus a few years later that was twice as big, but his skull had been shattered and scattered by floods and we recovered it piecemeal. We estimate that critter was about 48 feet long when alive, and his reassembled skull is nearly six feet long!
