Title: The Mustard Belt Comes Back to America!
Post by: Ash on July 04, 2007, 12:03:54 PM
Yeah!

Joey Chestnut (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joey_Chestnut) put a whoopin' on Tekeru Kobayashi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takeru_Kobayashi) to win the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating contest (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathan%27s_Hot_Dog_Eating_Contest)!

He beat Kobayashi and set a new world record of 66 dogs!
Kobayashi ate 63.

This was probably the most intense eating contest I've ever seen.
For a few minutes, it appeared that Chestnut was going to lose.  It was after Kobayashi had a "reversal", meaning he accidentally regurgitated 2 dogs, that Chestnut was able to take the lead and bring the coveted Mustard belt back home to America after 6 years.

Great job Joey!

That was a great competetion.  I can't believe that anyone can ingest that many hotdogs.  Heck, the two people tied for last place ate 21 which is still impressive in my opinion.

If I ever meet a woman who can eat half that many hot dogs that fast, I am getting married.

Arrggghhh!  It doesn't make sense when you are already married!  Okay, how about this:

I am going to encourage Katie to train and participate in this event, because the idea of being married to a woman who can eat sixty hot dogs in twelve minutes appeals to me.
