There's many of us out there it's all part of the government cloning experiment. They thought the "Bill Gate's" prototype would be perfect for world domination.

(NOTE: I'm rusty on my knowledge here it's been awhile)

In HALO jumps anything above about 20K'+ you need oxygen or you'll have the fun of getting hypoxia, you also have to pre-breath about 30 minutes or so to get all the nitrogen out of your blood so you don't, mmm well die. (you can pass out and go into the ground like a lawn dart) Also at those high alts you can catch frostbite due to subzero temps blowing by at 120mph, HALO's are not for the faint of heart. We jumped anywhere from 25K to close to 40K feet, much higher and you need a space suit.
You can also do HAHO jump which are great for just enjoying the view, you'll jump at 30-35K' and open at 25-28K' and just glide for miles. Not the same rush as headed to the planet surface at full speed, but you get to enjoy it longer.
I think my highest jump was about 45,000 feet or so, I'd have to find the jump log in the 'archive' to be sure. Getting to old for that stuff now, I haven't jumped in about 15 years.

Cheezeflixz that's awesome. Tandem freefalls are fun, but going solo will be great one day. How many miles up is that 45,000. Must be more than 8 miles above the earth.

Here's some Halo Skydiving from 30,000 feet. The public can do this for around $3,000+ a jump.

As somebody said to me a couple months ago "Stick me with a fork because I'm all done." Or something like that. I needed to be brought back to earth that's why I posted this poll. The only thing I've been thinking about in my spare moments for the past couple weeks are Skydiving.

Everytime I hear the wind rustle through my open car window I think of freefalling.

Everytime I put on my seatbelt I think of putting the harness on.

Everytime I make my bed I think of parachutes. (yes, I make my bed.)  :smile:

Everytime I check my watch I think of checking my altitude.

Everytime I look at the clouds or the horizon I think about being up there and Skydiving.

 

 
Isn't that wonderful?  Karma, Scott.  I'm afraid of heights, but I've always dreamed of space flight and sky diving.  I'm both thrilled and apalled by that clip!   :twirl:

That Scott and Menard are actually the same person. I mean, has anybody actually seen them in the same room together. But, ssshhh!!! Don't tell anybody. That is suppose to be their little secret.
