Post by: CheezeFlixz on July 22, 2007, 04:51:09 PM
OK we all know Amazon, eBay, Yahoo and that stuff, but we all have a few book marks those cool websites that just come on handy and aren't always at the top of the search ...

Here's some of my handy and cool sites ...

American Science & Surplus (http://sciplus.com/index.cfm)
If you tinker or build, make robots, need a strange part, or just want thing weird, this is the place.

Armorama (http://www.armorama.com/index.php)
Model builders heaven and links to 100's of all types of model building.

Radio Nostalgia Network  (http://radiomemories.libsyn.com/)
Streaming Old Time Radio for when you want to escape into the past.

Project Gutenberg (http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page)
Project Gutenberg is about 10,000 or so eBooks free to download.

Flash Earth (http://www.flashearth.com/)
Most of those Earth from the sky program rolled up into one. Pretty Nice.

Ethnic Grocer (http://www.ethnicgrocer.com/)
For those of you that live in BFE like me and can't get zahtar, tahini and other unusual stuff at the local Piggly Wiggly or Kroger.

Or for great sausages and German food ...
Bavaria Sausages (https://www.bavariasausage.com/index.php)
Excellent germen sausages, they aren't cheap, but man are they good!

Old Time Candy (http://www.oldtimecandy.com/enter.htm)
Looking for Candies Cigarettes, Atomic Fire Balls, Bazooka Bubble Gum, Black Jack gum, Necco Wafers, Nik-L-Nips and tons more? Look here.

American Meadows (http://www.americanmeadows.com/WildflowerSeeds.aspx)
For all you gardener out there, is a place to find some hard to find seeds. Along with bulk Wildflower seeds with out all that "inert" crap in the package.

I've got a zillion more ... what site have you found to be a little off the beaten path but useful.

4chan.org when you really want to see something that will shock you.

somethingawful.com  A decent site to see funny things  and bad movie reviews now and then.

there are really the only sites I visit that were not mentioned yet.
