Title: Is there ever going to be a MEG movie? Post by: indianasmith on August 03, 2007, 09:38:23 PM I am re-reading Steve Alten's MEG. When I first read the book about seven years ago, I remember reading that it was SOON TO BE A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE right on the cover. The current version I am reading was re-printed in 2005 and it says on the cover: SOON TO BE A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE FROM NEW LINE CINEMA. When is this thing coming out? I want to see a 70 foot shark eat a T-Rex!

Nick Nunziata of Chud.com was working on bringing Meg to the big screen but I think it's in developmental hell at the moment. I haven't heard much word on the film in about a year or so now. Last piece of information I saw was a sample drawing of a huge wave with a surfer and within the wave was a gigantic shark. Very cool. |
