Title: Unknown Island exhumed at Shadow's B-Movie Graveyard
Post by: Shadow on August 21, 2007, 12:27:26 AM
Inspired by a recent review (http://www.badmovies.org/forum/index.php/topic,114848.0.html) by CheezeFlixz, I have spent far too much time with 1948's Unknown Island, wherein an engaged couple finance an expedition to an uncharted South Pacific island where they encounter dinosaurs, giant prehistoric primates and worst of all: lecherous sea captains. It's just like King Kong, only with no giant ape and really crappy dinosaurs. Plus, inspired by Nathan Shumate, I had to work a Big Bird reference into one of the captions.

Read it here. (http://www.bmoviegraveyard.com/reviews/UnknownIsland/)

“You eat it.”
“I’m not gonna eat it.”
“Hey, let’s get Mikey. He’ll eat it. He’ll eat anything!”

I'm honored.  As is Carol Spinney.

What an extraordinary review! That giant rabid sloth is one of my favorite 'WTF?!?' monsters of all time.

I hate to admit it but that's the first time I'd visited yor site. All of your in-depth and hilarious reviews are definitely on my must-read list now.

Anyone who has spent so much time with SNOW BEAST must be admired, and maybe pitied a bit as well.  :teddyr:

Anyone who has not read one of Shadow's reviews should do so and this, might I say, is a really good one to start with.
