Title: Good Burger

Good Burger (1997)

I gotta say, this movie is incredibly underrated, in my opinion.  First and only Nickelodeon flick to be based off of one of their live action shows/sketches, it's incredibly well done.  It's dumb, but written in a well way that makes it enjoyable.  Abe Vigoda is great in it as well, even having the best line of the movie.  Keenan and Kel have a good comedic chemistry together, and I'd like to see them in something again.  But this might be kind of obscure/cultish to get much of a reaction.

When I was working as an usher at one of the local movie theaters in the summer of 1997, I was fortunate enough to see this movie all by myself.

Meaning, I was the only one in the theater watching it.   :teddyr:
Tammy, the manager, played it just for me after we closed.
She had a ton of paperwork to finish and stayed late...and I had nothing better to do...so I hung around and watched this movie.

I love Good Burger!

It has this strange and quirky charm to it that I like.
Probably because it reminds me of when I used to work at Wendy's when I was 16 years old in 1990.

It brought back a ton of Fast Food memories.

I'll admit it...Good Burger is a a guilty pleasure for me.

They made kind of an odd reference to it on Family Guy.  I think Quagmire was getting a cavity search, and one of the items "found" was Good Burger on DVD.  It just drops to the ground.

When my son was in grade school, he watched this movie at the after school care.  I remember picking him up after work one day and he was telling me about it and he was laughing so hard, he couldn't get the words out.  This continued for weeks until finally he was able to stop laughing long enough to explain to me what the heck he was going on about.

A few years ago, I found in in our local video store and we rented it.  My son is now 16 but he still laughed as hard as had when he was little.  And I laughed right alongside him.  It's one of those films that are so lame and dumb, it's a masterpiece.

I love it.  Incredibly dumb but crafted well.  Probably my all time favorite movie quote is in it too.

Abe Vigoda: "Take me to the hospital.  I think I broke my ass." :teddyr:
