Title: Are you a Trekkie?
Post by: IzzyDedjet on September 17, 2007, 01:03:53 PM
We know that we have at least one trekkie in our midst.  How many others?

I don't like any of the series and only a few of the movies.

I'll watch it if it's on and there's nothing better, and as long as that annoying counselor from TNG doesn't have too many lines.

trekkiness: 93

Funny, I thought it would be higher.  Maybe the fact that i gave up on Voyager and never watched Enterprise...

Of the 17324 unique test takers...
For: trekkiness
3% scored higher, and
96% scored lower.
The average Raw Score is: 101.4, your's was: 147.

I'd like to point out that question 4 is somewhat wrong, as Sisko held both Commander and Captain ranks on DS9...

It's amazing I rank even as a Lieutenant, I don't even know how I got this to show!   :twirl:

I'm just a lowly Lieutenant who is feeling too lazy right now to link to the graphic. My brother is the trekker of the family. I am more of a Star Wars nerd.

I ranked 'Ensign'... and I couldn't get the cute little picture to show either.

I wonder if there's a "Polonia Brothers" or an "Andy Milligan" test?

I couldn't get the graphic to show, but I ranked Commander (I quit watching Voyager after the second season). But you didn't need me to take the test, just check the screen name.

I can't get the graphic to work, but I;m a commander.

Guess I'm a drive by trekkie ...

However I did score pretty high on the SpongeBob test ...

I quit watching Voyager after the second season.

So... you're not familiar with 7 of 9?  I really liked "Voyager" despite its problems.

Oddly enough, the introduction of 7 of 9 was when I threw in the towel.  My thought process was, "If a Trek series needs a spandex-wrapped rack balanced on a pair of stilettos to attract the fanboys, there's something seriously wrong here."  Of course, that's after I got frustrated with the two standard episode plots:

1) Time travelly stuff means that the last five minutes of the episode will erase the previous thirty-eight from happening.

2) Janeway solicits and then the opinions of her senior staff, who turn out to be right after all; she neither admits it nor dies a deservedly horrible death.

The pity was that the 7 of 9 character had some really good moments. She would have been more credible if they would have put her in "normal" clothes instead of that catsuit. As it was, it was just impossible to get past the fact that she was brought in for T & A purposes.

I guess I missed out on the test, but I wouldn't say that I am a trekkie; I'll watch the shows (I didn't see Enterprise though), but you never, ever, ever see me wearing Vulcan ears, even if it's Tuvac's ears.

I did actually watch Voyager after the second season, but it was hit or miss. I just didn't really care whether I caught it or not.  I thought the writing was atrocious and the actors seemed to have no chemistry.  It's a shame that the holographic doctor was the only character that was interesting.

I was going to take the test, but I got sidetracked by all the sex tests on the site. Where does that put me on the Trekkie scale?

That's better than I expected. I mostly watch the classic series.
