Don't know if anyone watched it, but Bobby's World was Howie Mandel's cartoon that ran for like, 8 years on FOX in the '90s.  It was a decent show.  Howie did the father's voice, Bobby's voice, and would appear at the beginning and end in live action/animated segments with Bobby.

But I gotta say, with no disrespect, but, I guess they were giving everyone a cartoon between '85 and '95.  I mean, Howie, Rick Moranis, John Candy, Tone Loc, Hulk Hogan, Chuck Norris, Alf, Louie Anderson, Damon Wayans and a few others all had one.  Were they hard up or what?

I remember that show.  It was awesome.  I used to watch it every day when I was a wee lad.  The big thing was that kid shows were on the rise and there were not as many channels for kids so they though they could See the $ and ride off into the sunset.

The same thing could be said about fighting games of the 90's.  When Street Fighter II come out everybody jumped on the fighting game wagon in order to make $$$.  Most went by the way side because they sucked.

Celebrities and cartoons hav e always been wth us. Back in the 30's and 40's,Bugs Bunny was making a fool out of Edward G. Robinson and  Peter Lorre.
In the 60's you had the Beatles cartoon, the 3 stooges cartoon, Jerry Lewis .....

I never really watched Bobby's World but I have heard of it.  You're right though, the 80s saw some really odd cartoons.

RC, was this the Stooges cartoon in the 60s or was this the 80s?

I didn't love it, didn't hate it, but it was an early precursor of the gross cartoons later in vogue on The Cartoon Network around the turn of the century, so sure I remember Bobby's World. (My friend's brother dubbed it Boobie's World....imagine that, a middle school boy calling it that name, yep, mindblowing.) Wasn't terrible but was extremely wedded to its time and place (grunge birthday parties, etc.) so it wouldn't stand well today except in nostalgia.

I do think Bobby was Stewie Griffin's long lost half-brother, I really do.

Y'all remember Bobby's World?

And if kids were to be exposed to Fred Allen's old radio show, they'd wonder what was the deal with that guy doing the lame impression of Foghorn Leghorn.
