Back in 1969...I discoverd FAMOUS MONSTERS of FILMLAND magazine...and in between drunken beatings from my father and sitting in foster homes..FM and FJA -were my only escape from the real life horror that was my early childhood. It also began my life long love of horror films...which continues to this day. I STILL collect old FM's-and I PROUD to be one of the original "monster kids". Bless you FJA,the Ackermonster,4sJ,4E,Dr.Ackula!!!! I dunno who Bobbie is..but I sure wish I could post my signed copy of FM 1968 Fearbook...! I think I bought one of the last editions of "Famous Monsters" which I paid most of my holiday money for and I lost the *&^%$ thing. It had a picture of Ronald Lacey as Toht from Raiders having a sudden body melt. |
