Let's just cut to the chase ... this movie sucked in 5.1 surround sound. Another DTV winner.

Bad acting, bad FX, bad script, bad plot, just bad.

For the good parts, a few hot playmates as the Candy Stripers that on occasion expose their assets. This movie runs about 89 minutes which is about 88 to long. It's your typical teen horror that is about as scary as a basket full of bunnies.

A group of high school basketball player get in a fight and all go the hospital where the Candy Stripers work, but the Candy Stripers are sugar hungry aliens that live on a diet of sugar, honey buns, Little Debbies and MEN! Well as luck would have it one of the boys girlfriends is a diabetic and "has a plan", what are the odds? They run, they hide, they come up with a method to fight back, they fight back, some of them die, some must be killed, some will survive. Let's just hope it not enough of them for a sequel.

Predicable from the start to the very end.

But if you have to see it, then please do ... I'll sell you my copy, cheap.

Usually with most crappy DTV features, you at least try to make the screen shots on the back make the film look like something much more than it is. This one just looks bad as all get out based on what I saw on the back of the box.

Not sure what it is with me and this movie, but I end up re-watching Candy Stripers once every two years or so. Its not a great bad movie, and it certainly didn't start to grow on me yet.
Glossy Z-film with decent f/x and off beat ideas, a few charming B-moments, but the bad really outweights the good. So in the end I continue to be torn on Candy Stripers.
