Title: How many B-movies do YOU own?
Post by: MST3KFan on November 29, 2007, 03:16:30 PM
After seeing a topic about listing what you've survived as a B-movie watcher and starting to type all the movies I've been through, I realized that it was a HUGE list and thought I'd make up a new topic instead... So, without further ado...

Post your HUGE lists of B-movies you own. My list is below, and it consists of mostly sci-fi, horror, or sci-fi/horror combined movies mostly from the 80s, which is my favorite decade for B-movies.

(Glances at Night of the Creeps with hope)

Anyway, anyone got a list that can beat this one?

I don't have that many b films, I more or less started getting them last year, so I still have a ways to go.

I don't know if I would consider the Alien franchise of films as a B movie but if since it's in this list then here is mine.

Redneck Zomibes.
Dawn of the Dead (Original)
Friday the 13th
Friday the 13th part 2
Friday the 13th part 3
Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter
Friday the 13th part 5: A New Beginning
Friday the 13th part 6: Jason Lives
Friday the 13th part 7: The New Blood
Friday the 13th part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan
Nightmare on Elm Street
Nightmare on Elm Street part 2
Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child
Shaun of the Dead
Alien
Aliens Director's Cut
Alien 3
Alien Resurrection
The Toxic Avenger
No Retreat No Surrender
Troma's War
Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D
Predator
Predator 2
Manos: Hands of Fate
Glen or Glenda
Plan 9 From Outer Space
Bride of the Monster
Jail Bail
Night of the Ghouls
Jurassic Park
The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Jurrasic Park 3
Big Trouble in Little China
Born Losers
Billy Jack
The Trial of Billy Jack
Billy Jack goes to Washington
Street Fighter
Double Dragon
Howard the Duck
Bloodsport 1-4
Bloodfist 1-8
Mortal Kombat
Escape from New York
Heaven's Gate

All are one DVD except for No Retreat, No Surrender as that I have on VHS, and I really want a USA version release of the film instead of the version the rest of the world saw.

I included the Alien movies and other titles like Predator into my list really cause most of my stuff is of the sci-fi/horror genres and well...if you've watched the last two Alien movies they are definitely B-movies. LOL
I actually have a few other movies that could go on the list I guess when I look. I have TONS of movies laying around my place actualy. Lots of anime titles among other things, but since this is B-movies.  :teddyr:

My addiction in collecting these started about the time I turned old enough to rent R-rated movies about a decade ago. (Has it been that long? O_o) VHS was still the way to go for a lot of these movies, but once they started getting taken out of rental stores, the pawn shops became my best friend until I'd gotten all I could from them, then it's been Amazon ever since.

I have NO CLUE. My favorites I keep in a cabient...but in no particular order or anything....I have them in closets,drawers,boxes,up in the kid's rooms,loaned out,under the couch,behind the bed...I really don't know...I .....ugh...I don't have a list....

I mostly have vhs tapes...I get them from flea markets, yard sales, used ones from video stores ,buy some from catalogs like SINISTER CINEMA,SHOCKING VIDEO,SOMETHING WEIRD,MOVIES UNLIMITED....Dollar stores, junk sales,Goodwill....my brain hurts.... :bluesad:

I'm not even approaching any type of serious attempt at trying to consider possibly taking a stab at this topic. Between all the stuff I've copied from the internet, NetFlix, Blockbuster, and off of cable, not to mention the crates of vhs tapes dupes I made before getting a DVD writer, all of the "50 movies for $20" sets and the $1 double-features I've packed into our little one bedroom apartment, I can barely hazard a guess at what movies I have anymore. I can't even list the commercial DVDs, VHS tapes and LaserDiscs I've got at this point. The only things I will mention: I've got 3 different copies of The Evil Dead, 4 different copies of Evil Dead 2, 3 different copies of Army of Darkness, 4 different copies of Re-Animator, 4 or more different copies of the first Night of the Living Dead, 3 different copies of the original Dawn of the Dead, and 3 different copies of The Stuff... I think I should start handing all of my money over to my fiancee before I bankrupt myself with movies I'll never have the time to watch...

I think we all agree that we probably have WAY more movies then we know sometimes what do with now. LOL I did an inventory not too long ago of my movies and video games. Man, that was a job there.

I still have to organize things too but I know I'm in the 1000s in terms of DVDs (Definitely own nearly every cheesy movie released to DVD from the 1950s and 60s from 2001-2005 - think stuff like HIDEOUS SUN DEMON, ASTOUNDING SHE-MONSTER, ASTRO ZOMBIES, BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS, FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE SPACE MONSTER, CREATION OF THE HUMANOIDS, tonnes of stuff directed by Roger Corman) and still have lots of stuff recorded to VHS too. I also own lots of TV series (like The Prisoner, The Avengers, The New Avengers, Battlestar Galatica, Star Trek, The Original Outer Limits, UFO, and so much more) and many of those 50 packs from Treeline.

I actually noticed the other night that I really only own about 20 or so b-movies, which is a real shame, but my collection is constantly growing, and christmas and my birthday are just right around the corner! sweet!

I don't actually own a lot of 'b' movies, but I own a lot of dvd's, most of what would be considered terrible movies.  Off hand, these are what I'd consider to be the 'b' movies I own:

Friday the 13th 1-8
Jason X
Halloween
Nightmare on Elm Street 1-7
Freddy vs. Jason
Toxic Avenger
Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger Part IV
Child's Play 2
Child's Play 3
Bride of Chucky
Seed of Chucky
Terror Firmer
Cannibal! The Musical
Orgazmo
Freaked
UHF
The Monster Squad

I'm sure a few do ... do know what others have, but I have over a 1000 B-Movies.

I'm watching the (near) Oscar winner INHUMANOID  (1996) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118856/) right now. The only good thing about this movie so far is the doe eyed Lara Harris naked.

Ebola Syndrome
Bolo
Cantonen Iron Kung Fu
In Sword We Trust
The Prisoner of Five Boulders
The Rage of Gina
Revenge of the Tiger
The Tiger From Canton
Witchfire
Tales That Witness Madness

My list is too long to post.  I keep my DVD titles in an Excel spreadsheet, but I need to update it for several 50 and 100 movie packs, plus many single discs I purchased over the past few months.  I have around 3,000 titles and I estimate that at least half of them (about 1,500) could be considered "B-movies."  After I update the spreadsheet, I'll be happy to e-mail it to anyone who is interested.

I was doing the same thing too, because I have cases that I put all my DVD's in, and the ones that I have which are 1 that holds 100 DVD's, 1 that holds 75, and 1 that holds 20 and I still have a bunch that I haven't stored away yet.

The only addition to mine is Troll/Troll 2 DVD

Wow. Some people got some serious collections it seems. Mine's limited as mentioned mainly to the 80s though I do have some 90s as well...mostly before the whole CG thing really took off and stuff into the later 90s and onward.

Truthfully though I have way more Japanese anime DVDs then anything else video wise in my collection. If I added those into things along with my various action and martial arts movies I'd say definitely over 1000, possible 1200...
