Title: My son the metal-head
Post by: Brother Ragnarok on December 23, 2007, 11:13:29 PM
So, just before Phoenix went to bed tonight, he turned around, threw up the ol' \m/, and said "metal."  I asked Mal if she'd been prompting him, or trying to teach him that particular gesticulation, and she said no.  So he did that with no encouragement.  He is his father's son.

LOL! That's cool! No matter what I do...I just can't seem to get my daughter to like what I listen too...maybe as she gets older.

Its moments like this that make a father proud.  Currently I'm trying to teach my son to yell "SLAYER" everytime I play them.

Both my kids are little headbangers.  Well, I say that, but they rock out to the Wiggles too.  Still, every time I put in a metal concert DVD, they're both shakin' their butts to it.
I've even taught Phoenix the difference between power metal and black/and/or/death metal.  He growls for the latter, and yells "metaaaal!" in a falsetto for the former.

All your parenting skills seem to be emotionally stunting your kids, making them bray for the music of the gods, scream out battle cries for more, and no doubt will be snorting cocaine off groupies in their trailers by the time they are 15...

The world thanks you...

My brother just got Guitar Hero III for the wii and TWO controllers for christmas.  Needless to say, we have so far spent the morning with a lot of loud music banging through the house... and it's not even 10am yet...
