Title: Jeremiah Johnson escape and is on the run!
Post by: CheezeFlixz on February 12, 2008, 09:45:19 AM
OK this is some of my small town local news story, but I heard it on the radio yesterday and fell out laughing that Jeremiah Johnson had escaped. But they didn't mention in the story that he's sporting a bad mullet too.

On Sunday, February 10th, an inmate from the Graves County Detention Center walked away from his work detail in Graves County.  Jeremiah Johnson was last seen around 7:30 PM, Sunday, at Graves County High School on a work detail.  Johnson did not return to the Graves County Jail when the detail concluded.  Johnson was being held at the detention center for a burglary offense.  Jeremiah Johnson is possibly in the company of a Lori Wilson in a red Dodge Neon. Jeremiah Johnson is described as a white male, 30 years old, 6 foot tall, 155 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Jeremiah Johnson, you are asked to contact the Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555.

I think the real story is that Lori Wilson ate some of Willy Wonka's gum and is turning into a blueberry!

The fact that he's 30 years old means that it's likely his parents were aware of the film and named him that anyway.

My has always wanted them to make a sequel to the film, since as he put it, "you know he's still out there".

I think Redford might be to old now (Well there is Harrison Ford doing Indiana Jones again, so maybe), but it is one of my favorite films.

That was supposed to be "My uncle has ..."

I get your point, and agree, but I couldn't make that point to my uncle about how the film industry works and actors passing their prime. But I always liked that line, "you know he's still out there".

I personally got excited when I heard there was talk of Redford making a sequel to The Candidate a few years ago. I figured he is roughly the right age for his character from the first film to have served multiple frustrating (and possibly meaningless) terms in the Senate and deciding that he had one last shot to be President to have a real positive effect on the nation and to redeem himself for a squandered or compromised career. It could have been interesting and maybe not have wasted the potential satiric bite and commentary that Warren Beatty's Bulworth did IMO.
