Title: Howard the Duck creator dies.
Post by: AnubisVonMojo on February 16, 2008, 09:48:57 PM
No, don't cry (or celebrate) just yet, it's not George Lucas. Unfortunately, it's comic book creator Steve Gerber. Gerber passed away at the age of 60 from pulmonary fibrosis and also created Hanna-Barbera hero Thundarr the Barbarian. He was working on a re-vamp of DC character Dr. Fate at the time of his passing.  :bluesad:

R.I.P. Steve Gerber

I tried to think of some Giant-Sized Man-Thing jokes, but those would just be in poor taste.

Though it may be Mofo, you've given me an idea for my will. When I die, I'm making it a point to leave someone either my "Giant-Sized Man-Thing" or my "collection of Giant-Sized Man-Things". Whichever sounds funnier at the time.
