Due to our admiration of and respect for bad, obscure, cult, pulpy, trashy films, my buddy and I have recently started doing our own video reviews, in the form of a webshow called "The Bachelor Boys". The films are: R.O.T.O.R : Part one: http://youtube.com/watch?v=DHSnftAh9C4 Part two: http://youtube.com/watch?v=CBqThvZylEU A hilariously bad Robocop/Terminator clone, about a robotic cop gone berserk. This was our first review, and the original cut was over 15 minutes long, so it was too big for Youtube. We eventually cut it to about 12 minutes and split it into two parts. Sorceress: http://youtube.com/watch?v=de5CnIWRdSI A pretty decent Mexican/American swords & sorcery adventure, well worth checking out. Alienator: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Giv8ZcLNObU A horrible little sci-fi from trash maestro Fred Olen Ray. As for the ones on the way, the next one will be a certain Bruno Mattei classic... Most people think "Hell" when they think of Bruno so we stayed away from that one... you'll just have to wait 'til around mid this week to find out which one we chose.. :D

I remember feeling the exact same way about that film. Cold Iron...is that...Swedish or something? And then ROTOR, is just a guy. Jeez! And what was with that Steel woman? Just, very puzzling.

Great job Bachelor Boys! The funny thing about Strike Commando is that as soon as I saw the title, I ran over to my collection of VHS tapes, and there it was! I've never watched it, but you guys have inspired me to take a glance.
And for the record, Reb Brown belts out "OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN!" before leaping off the exploding boat. If you want more Reb Brown goodness, track down "Yor, the Hunter from the Future" and "Space Mutiny." Keep up the great work! Man, now I really want to go to Disneyland and eat the popcorn trees and meet the genie! :wink: |
