Title: Interstitial Ad Problem
Post by: Andrew on March 02, 2008, 01:08:16 PM
Interstitial ads are the ones that take over the page and you have to "Click to skip this ad" to see the page you were trying to open.  I noticed that they were appearing on the site and tracked down the source.  I have paused ads from that network until the issue is resolved.  My apologies to anyone who ran into one of those.

Every now and then something like this happens.  I do not run interstitials, pop-ups, pop-unders, or the like.  If you run into them on the site, it is either a rogue ad or your computer is infected with adware/malware.

Oh thank God, I thought you sold out and started doing pop up ads, it starts with that and then it's not about the movies it's about the $$$

After working with the ad network, it appears that the interstitial problem has been resolved.  Those ads are running again.  Please let me know if you run into an ad like that.

Is there any software that could just kill those?  I have Adaware and AVG, but the advertisements still show up every now and then.

Sorry for missing this before.  At this time (or any other), you should not be getting any interstitial, pop-up, or pop-under ads from here.  Is anyone else seeing these from Badmovies.org?

It's possible that something is amiss again with an advertiser, and I just haven't seen it.  It's also possible that you do have some sort of adware on your computer - they can be very pesky to get rid of, plus AdAware is not 100%.
