Title: Ski Lift to Death aka Snowblind (1978) Post by: lester1/2jr on March 04, 2008, 09:47:56 AM I have a feeling some people around here would really like this 1978 made for tv movie. The quality is such that everything looks purple: the mountain , peoples hair, the sky. extras? you've got to be joking. This is a (very) formula disaster movie with the requisite " get to know the doomed people" begining and harrowing second half. There is some quite goofy fancy skiing by the doubles of the stars set to syruppy music.
Don Johnson is noteable as a real "hot dog" ski jump guy who is being pursued by an underage fan, who is very cute. She wants to win his heart and gets her chance when she enters what can only be called the worst dancecontest ever (except her) which he is judging. he says something so sleazy and confusing it's incredible "they [her parents] need to know you are growing up fast and the less you fight it the faster it will come" ?? The main plot is of the female ski star who can't decide whether to hang out with her ski star boyfriend or have her big career. one proposal is a tv special where she goes skiing with the shah of Iran.
