I can tell you that I once met a reserve Sergeant Major who suffered a stroke. He describe while sensations too. He was a firefighter, and was back on the job in short order. Hopefully you'll also have a quick recovery.
Might be time for you to tone down the number of Sci-Fi Channel originals you have been watching. I think that I've remarked how they can cutoff the blood supply to your brain.
