Title: Enchanted
Post by: Mr. DS on March 28, 2008, 07:05:52 AM
Anyone else see this film?  I watched this with my wife last night.  I found it to be amusing and a fun concept.  Basically, the whole plot revolves around a princess (that fits all the Disney stereotypes) that gets shoved into the real world NY by an evil queen on her wedding day.  The cast hams it up in the roles and I found it  to be a fun hour and a half.

Ditto. We watched it the other day and I think I liked it more than my wife did, but then like lester, I think Amy Adams is adorable. I did get my wife to roll in the floor laughing once, though. When Susan Sarandon arrived in New York by appearing in the middle of a busy street, dressed in her gaudy witch costume and complete with crackling green energy, I said, "Quick! somebody call the Fantastic Four!" :teddyr:

I love Amy Adams.

She should have been, at least, nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress. That's one of the problems with the Oscars, they seldom nominate an actress for the award, unless she is in a drama.

Look for all the in-jokes in the film. One of them being the name of the Italian cafe in the film.

I also like the idea that you had the romantic meeting the practical, with the romantic becoming a little more practical, and the practical becoming a little more romantic.
