Post by: peter johnson on April 03, 2008, 12:46:05 PM I've only seen the Jesse James one on this list -- But I've seen it twice now, and I have to say unequivocally that it is a work of art -- My wife and I actually found it superior to "There Will Be Blood" in many ways. It deals with multiple themes of loss, heroism, mythology, and boasts some of the finest plain old acting I've seen. I would have said "In some time", but "In Bruges" is out in theatres still, and that's another exceptional film.

A mediocre chase Western with an unecessary "existential" ending tacked on.

Well, if you do enjoy it, that won't make you a bad person in my eyes. :wink: If you're looking for scenery, that's probably the film's finest point. Post by: freeursoul28 on April 08, 2008, 07:08:40 PM Check out City of Gods. It's a brazilian film about the violent streets of Rio, classic!!! (and i'm usually not inot the whole foreign film scene)
