Title: digital j-horror frankenstein?
Post by: ToyMan on April 07, 2008, 06:39:33 PM
i never actually saw this film, just the trailer. i was sure i had it on a disc somewhere, but i can't seem to find it. seems like the sort of thing that synapse would have released about 5 years ago.

in the trailer, i remember a head, with wires coming out of it, and i think it was wearing glasses. the face was all dried up and the nose looked like a pig snout.

there was a scene outdoors where this robo-monster shot some sawblades at someone and cut their lower legs off.

any guesses? it was super-low-budget, and i think the name had "frankenstein" in it.

I am pretty sure this is THE ANDROID OF NOTRE DAME (1989) which is one of the infamous Guinea Pig series. The trailer below is kind of murky, but it has the leg saw sequence in it, and the head with wires. This one is on a double feature with the 1st episode THE GUINEA PIG.
