Seriously, what's not to love in this movie? We have a man and a woman travelling to exotic places while looking for her father, lovely aerial vistas, characters with just the right ammount of grumpyness and a sweeping John Barry score.

If "Tales of the golden monkey" and the Sierra videogame "Heart of China" had a son, it would be pretty much like this movie. I've always wanted to see it but never did, because it has this terrible reputation of being a low grade "Indiana Jones" copycat, made to cash in from the word of mouth that Tom Selleck was seriously considered to play Indy, but it's instead a good old-fashioned adventure yarn, the kind that didn't need self-concious dialogue or CGI to sell itself.

Highly recommended.

I saw this one a long time ago.  I remember Selleck's character was an embittered World War I flying ace - an instant selling point with me!!!

I remember seeing a fair percentage of this film when I was a kid. It was damn good fun, especially when they finally get to China and have to help the villagers defend themselves against a powerful warlord's army. That had possibly the best flying stunts in the entire film.
