The site didn't work for me either... I saw the thumbnails, and most of those covers are wretched, but I like the LES BAXTER Space Escapade cover and I'd definitely be interested to hear the album!   :teddyr:

There is no link on the right: Worst album cover ever? Vote for your least favorite and add some comments   That is the page header on the left, there are links on the right, but, none that prove useful for viewing larger images than the voting page. 

I got the thumb vote thing to work, OMG those are bad. I'have seen many of them before. But some are just scary.

I thought the rapping dummy's jheri curls to be rather entertaining. 

Well, I'd be remiss if I did not mention the soundtrack to Scarlett Fry's Junkfood Horrorfest in the Worst Album Covers thread.

I have to be one of the most heartless people in history to have voted for The Brailettes as the worst album cover.  Chicken Coup de Ville was up there, but wow... that one just took the cake for me.

I actually own an Orion album! I found it in a cut-out bin for next to nothing and bought it because a.) it was just so goofy, and b.) it was gold vinyl. The blurb on the back cover was trying to pass him off as the next Elvis (but more mysterious since he wears a mask--ooooooh), and it was all just too funny. Wretched, but funny.

I wish I had gotten a picture of this album cover I saw in college. I was passing by an apartment building where many students from India lived, and someone had an old-fashioned record cover sitting on her window sill called "Rapanahan Sings!" and on the cover was this sequin jumpsuit clad smiling Hindu man with THEE biggest grin and the scariest bug-eyes I'd ever seen. Truly startling. It would've made the list!

I think the Orion gimmick was that they were kind of implying that he was actually a secret identity of Elvis, since there were all those rumors about him not really being dead.

That was kind of the impression I got, though it's been years since I even looked at the record, so I don't remember for sure how they worded things. I mostly just remember the hokiness of the gimmick.

That "Electric Amish" one made me laugh.  :teddyr:
