Title: Strongbad emails
Post by: lester1/2jr on May 22, 2008, 09:47:16 AM
I didn't know what section to put this in.  I happen to catch one of these on a local cable access show and was intrigued.  I'm a big sealab fan and this was sort of like that,  a little more juvenile and frat friendly, though still clever.   I wish they could shake up the format a little, maybe have him do something besides answer emails, but I only got one disk so who knows what else goes on.

I'm a huge Strong Bad fan, and I've got most of the DVD's from Homestar Runner.

You don't need to get the DVD's though, it's all available free online from homestarrunner.com (http://www.homestarrunner.com/). If you like mulitiple formats, the site is all over the place; flash animation, puppet theater, old-school graphic adventure games...

If you like your humor simultaneously smart and aggressively stupid, check it out.

I've found about a dozen emails specifically that I think are really funny, but the rest just don't make me laugh (which, admittedly, is a hard thing to do). The whole time H*R has been around, it seems the creators have been trying to figure out if they want to do dirtier stuff or keep it for tweenagers mainly. So it just kinda straddles the fence on that issue, and I guess maybe that's a turn-off, too. :bluesad:
