Yup, went thru that surgery a few years ago... the hernia itself was not painful or even particularly uncomfortable, but after that surgery, well that hurt. How could I resist starting this thread on medical day? Anybody else ever experience HERNIA!?? Title: Re: Hernia! I was never in any bad pain - it was just more discomfort than anything. Still, the thing would bulge up something bad, about the size of an orange. Plus there was the squishing sound when it would pop out. :buggedout: It's been almost ten years since I had the operation to fix it and I have not had a problem since. Title: Re: Hernia! They all report the same thing: Hernia - no big deal Hernia surgery - THE PAIN! THE PAIN! My brother said he's have thought twice about sitting in his favorite easy chair after his surgery if he'd only know what an ordeal getting back up was gonna be. Title: Re: Hernia! His kept failing to stay in place and his mother told me that he couldn't take any pain medicine for his 3rd surgery. I can only imagine the pain he went through.
