Post by: AVERY GUERRA on June 19, 2008, 03:53:34 PM

Once again, you posted this message, nearly verbatim at my forums.  The only problem with mine is that nobody actually uses them.

Who did you say you worked for?

Yeah, I'm really excited about this one too. LOL!! I saw that your forum was a bit slow. That's sad, because I think you run a great site. I bet that a lot of the same guys/gals that are members here would really like your site/forum if they'd check it out. I work for 'RoboJapan/MonsterIslandNews' and Robert Hood's 'Undead BackBrain', but I don't do any of these posts for them or anything like that. I'm just a big-time kaiju geek I guess. I love to get the word out on anything new kaiju moviewise. I figure the bigger success they are, the more they'll keep making. That'd be a good thing.    :teddyr:

Found a new English poster for the film that looks awesome:   http://roberthood.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/guilala-poster.jpg    It's getting some very mixed reviews though. Here's one that's very negative:  http://www.scifijapan.com/articles/2008/09/06/review-monster-x-strikes-back-attack-the-g8-summit/    and here's a positive take:  http://twitchfilm.net/site/view/sitges-2008-monster-x-strikes-back-attack-the-g8-summit/   The director is very weird and uses a lot of infantile humor in his films. It's definitely VERY Japanese. I'm still dying to see it. I try not to let reviews and naysayers deter my interest in a film, because I have weird tastes to begin with and don't usually agree with the critics anyways. I think it still looks like a lot of fun.   :teddyr:

Oh yeah, like I work for all those international HUGE websites that are mostly each others competition and I'm here advertising them on a b-movie forum?? Um, are you for real with this?? This is just a guess but I'm pretty darn sure that they wouldn't/don't need any advertising. All those links have different news/updates on the film. I found them all while doing a search for news on it. If it was spam wouldn't it be  all from one place?? Wouldn't it all be from the two sites that I do work for?? Unless you mean to say that I work for the Japanese company that made this film?? They're like one of the damned biggest companies in the freakin' world dude!! I'm pretty damned positive that they wouldn't even considering hiring me for any job except perhaps cleaning toilets, but that'd be kind of hard since they're in Japan. Also wouldn't that company give me like a press release or something with all this news in one source?? The film doesn't have a U.S. distributor so  that's out. C'mon use common sense.   :hatred:

So...if thats true...that just means your an unimaginitive idiot with no real ideas of writing of your own and just have to refer to other peoples words to speak for you? So you just spam...er...I mean...post others words for your lack of them? I may be a idiot...but my idiotness is my own original garbage! I dont' post hey! this is what I think---"http/iamamomo.com/". I says what I mean and mean what I says...! And dam the torpedos!!!

What are you mumbling about?? It's not posting what others say. It's posting links to sites that have news on the film like one may have a new poster and another may have a different trailer. I am a writer for the websites that I work for but I can't write a poster or trailer up. I guess I haven't figured that one out yet?? I don't want to post my write ups or our website's write ups on these links because that would be spam for our sites and I'm not about that. We don't even need the push. Our traffic's pretty good thank you. I just like to find updates and post them as a thread so it's meatier then just saying oh there's this new monster movie...yeah.

Avery isn't a spammer, he's just a guy super obsessed with monster movies.  Most of the films he gets info on don't even have money to pay the actors, much less hire someone to post on message boards for money.

You don't have to be paid to be a spammer. I'm obbsesed too...but I don't write the same words and post it all over the web and direct others to it. THAT's SPAM....!!!

I guess it's a question of definition, then.  Since he's on topic with stuff that could be of interest to some readers of this board, I don't consider him a spammer.  I'm not sure why some of you seem to hate him so much.  He's easy enough to ignore if you're not interested.

Yeah...I should know better....but at times I am easily p**sed....and when that happens...I turn into a raving a$$hole. I apoligize to the rest of the board...but not tohim. He is a phoney in my eyes. And I just dislike phonies. I'm a ham...but not a phoney. I'm honest about my "Bela" shtick. I really do love Lugosi....but everyone knows I'm not serious when I pretend to think I am Bela. Nor do I post links to every Lugosi site online. Or any other site I visit in EVERY SINGLE POST. I visit many websites....but I don't..ahhhh...I'm just anti -phoney. And he posts the same stuff word for word on many sites, sounds like a spammer to me. If it acts likes a duck.....it's usually a duck. For now on I will ignore this guy. Sorry if I upset any of the TRUE members of the forum.

Thanks 'Rev. Powell'; QOUTE: "I guess it's a question of definition, then.  Since he's on topic with stuff that could be of interest to some readers of this board, I don't consider him a spammer.  I'm not sure why some of you seem to hate him so much.  He's easy enough to ignore if you're not interested."  and thanks 'TarsTarkas'. I have already and will definitely admit to being lazy for copying and pasting stuff on each of the forums I'm on. When you're on something like 30 forums it's just way easier to do that then to type up something different on each and every single one of them. Especially when it's going to basically be the same information. I joined all these forums to hopefully find people with the same interests as me and hopefully share all this news on things like b-movies and especially giant monster/kaiju films that I'm excited about and hope that they would be just as excited about. All of the other forums that I'm on seem to really digg the stuff I bring to them since it is always relative to the subject at hand. Several of them have invited or asked me to join their forums to bring news on these types of films to give their members more to talk about and to hopefully build up the traffic on their forums. However, the majority of the members on those forums even if they like my threads aren't very social and I haven't made lots of cool new friends there. That's why I've continued to join other forums. I'm still pretty new to being on forums, but I always have understood that it's a place to go to talk about subjects that interests you with other fans of the same subjects. These are all b-movies and this 'is' a b-movie forum right?? If I'm doing something wrong 'Andrew' will be more than glad to point that out to me. No one's saying that you have to read my topics or that you have to respond to them. It's just as easy to ignore them like I do other threads that don't interest me.

Well that's your decision. Nobody's saying that any of you have to, but that is the reason why I came here; to make friends and share some cool things of interests with them. I 'am' trying to be a member and contribute to this forum but it's hard when I'm constantly being targeted and attacked every time I post about b-movies or try to add my two cents on a subject. If someone doesn't want to even give me a chance and try to understand me or befriend me and would rather try to be funny and to show off and attack me in front of the other board members because it's become the "cool thing" to do then I wouldn't need them as a friend anyways. I'm sorry you feel that way and I'm also sorry that my unusual ways are offensive or annoying to some of the members here. It's never really been a problem anywhere else. There are some signs of hope though, at least a few of the members can understand what I'm trying to do and I really appreciate that=THANKS!!

Yes...yes it does. And it hurts. Kinda p**ses a fella off. Makes him wary of sneaky people.

oh..and guess what...I'm a spammer for blue grass!!!

We need to find a way to debate and argue without going to the extremes seen here.
