Title: Wonderland: How many have seen it? Did you like it?
Post by: ghouck on July 03, 2008, 11:27:38 PM
Seeing the near totally polarized opinions of "Boogie Nights" here, I was wondering how many people had seen "Wonderland", and weather you liked it. I thought it was good, partially because I'm fairly intrigued in regards to the Wonderland murders, and how much conflicting information by unreliable people there was. It really has all the ingredients for a good story: A man's fall from grace (so to speak), people's lives destroyed by drugs and greed on multiple levels. People backstabbing each other, all kinds of stuff, and even more to the whole scene that WASN'T in the movie (jury bribery, the main suspect in the murders being convicted of PLANNING the murders, but acquitted OF the murders, living free right now). All in all, I like the movie, it ends on a pretty sad note though.

I thought it was very well done. Val Kilmer always gets a bad rap.
The documentary that comes with the DVD is excellent as well.

I thought that Wonderland was great.

Val Kilmer's performance as John Holmes was dead on.

Agreed.
Wonderland was a decent flick.  Definitely worth a look.
