OK I'm having trouble with this story ...

I have had snakes before including large Pythons and a 8 foot python is going to be to thick to get through a washing machine drain pipe which is about 2" down to the main drain of 3 or 4 inches. A 8' python would be about as big around as a coffee can or bigger it would have trouble getting through the main house drain alone. And the drain hose on the washing machine itself is only about a 1" diameter in size. them it'd have to go through the pump to get into the tub ... I don't know something doesn't add up.

Maybe Mike Holmes installed the machine with a six-inch drain pipe.

Assuming this is a modern washing machine, the snake would also have to go through valves, pump and certainly a strainer to get in with the clothes. And I assume it did it while the machine was running, which means the drain was closed. I won't go into whether a snake could survive in a running washing machine. Very suspicious story.

Someone probably left the door open and it got in there while she loaded the washer, mystery solved.
