i cant stand the abused animal comericals
and 5 hour energy

The abused animal commercials are just heartbreaking to sit through. I can't adopt a dog because our building doesn't allow them, so all they serve to do is make me hate people more than I already do. They're also like 5 minutes long, so that just makes them worse.

Commercials I can't stand based on pure irritation factor though have become limited recently. The ones I refuse to sit through anymore would have to be the various ads by cable providers that are more like one big whorish music video. There's one for Optimum that has some d-bag whom I think goes by the name of Daddy Yankee as he and a trio of whiny-voiced skanks do their stupid little bit on a beach. Generic Latino hip-hop is like listening to Black Bolt singing Rico Suave. :hatred:

I agree with the animal abuse commercials.  I'm a huge animal lover, but I've already adopted my cat from the animal shelter.  I don't have a lot of money to contribute to causes, and if I did it would sure as hell go to the local animal shelter, not to pay for 5 minute commercials on national TV.  So the end result is that those commercials are just extremely depressing and nothing else.

I also hate any of those "the truth" anti-tobacco company commercials.  If you want to discourage people from smoking, putting a bunch of offensively self-righteous f***tards on TV is about the most idiotic way imaginable to try and do it.

I also hate any ambulance chaser commercials.  I must have heard the word "mesothelioma" about 10,000 times now.  Or a lot of those medicine commercials where they get some nearly dead person to talk about how they couldn't play with their grandchildren anymore, and their stool was too hard and they had erections lasting more than 4 hours...GAH!!!

Or have some sexy babe jogging in some skin-tight shorts and then start telling us about her itching and odor problems, or how she contracted her venereal disease even though her partner wasn't showing any symptoms. 

Animal abuse: Just plain depressing

Male enhancement: I don't care if you can't get a stiffy, quit bugging me about it!

Feminine products:  These used to be subtle so I didn't know what they were talking about now I know too much.

Problems in Darfur:  I'm only 16 what do you want me to do about it, also very depressing.

Whenever an Enzyte ad appears on TV, I immediately change the channel.
That whistling is mind numbing.  If one were so inclined, you could lock someone in a room, loop that ad and torture them for days.   :buggedout:

How about the Charmin commericals with those f-ing bears running around taking number 2s in the woods and using Charmin TP to wipe themselves?  Plus they go to the toilet behind a stick that's maybe six inches wide, while they have rumps that are six feet wide.

I just remembered the new Burger King commercials with the mom who tells her daughter to eat an apple she just says "no" (little b!tch) then the mom cuts it in half and calls it sliced (lazy ass).  Then The Burger King comes in with some kind of messed up sliced apple pieces and everybody's happy and a messed up kid comes and kicks The King in the shins, finally something I can enjoy!.

I hate any commercials that star Billy Mays, he's opening line should forever be, "Hi Im Billy Mays and I like to SHOUT.

I also think commercials revolving around tampons, feminine problems, ect should be banned..you know, sometimes i actually like to sit infront of the tube and eat. Nothing spoils my appetite faster than some chick bit***** about her 'issues'

Have everybody seen the new JC Penny commercials ripoff of The Breakfast Club? I just hate them for three resons 1. These kids can't act like the original actors and actresses. 2. The remake of Don't You Forget About Me by some lame group was stupid. 3. The very worst part about the commercial is that it made me feel old.

There is a local commercial for a car dealership near where I live.  It's not that the commercial is bad it's the music they play to it.  It's so annoy that I have to either change the channel or turn off the radio if I hear it on the radio.  It sounds like a cheesy 50's era song.  The worst version of the commercial that they ran was one that they had kids and teenagers singing it and I wanted to shoot the TV with my grandfathers service handgun.

Not to get too far off the subject, but the radio station I work at has to run ads through syndicators and networks. One of them is for a book called "Total Transformation." The 'doctor' pushing this book has a thick Bronx or Brooklyn accent. "Is you kid ab-nack-shush? Is ever-ting an org-ya-mint wit you kid?" The guy rattles off a list of problems with children "lying, cursing, back talking, random violence." WTF kind of kid is this?

Then you hear testimonials from parents. One guy sounds like a child abuser and the other is a woman who keeps talking about teaching her child 'verbage.'

I bet if you bought this guys book, every page probably says "Smack you kid in the head."

I am SHOCKED nobody mentioned that stupid bowflex commercial with the buck-toothed geek. His whole "I gave all my fat clothes to my fat friends" makes me sick. Anyone that says that on TV doesn't HAVE any friends. He also said some crap like "My wife gives me that look now and then". .. They USED to show a quick shot of her (or someone that one would assume was her), , and she was no great looker. That weenie strikes me as a VERY insecure person trying to compensate, , and those types make me want to puke.

I'm also sick of these food commericals where they pretend to be a fancy place then reveal they just served you a crappy fast food meal when you thought you were getting real food. Hardee's one has got to be 100% since they are also called Carl's Jr and use the same ad with just the name changed. So it is fact, fake people and fake restaurant.. Also can't stand the Pizza Hut commercial with the "french" girl. I want to smack her each time. Also the woman with the exaggerated "MMMmmmmm"

The JC Penny Breakfast Club sucks because they are using a reference to a movie probably none of their target audience have seen. Nor does it hold any significance to them.

One we have here for a local construction company made me realize they are indeed using actors. One was shot at the secondary mall in town (more than half the stores are empty or are crap stuff. Only survives because Sears is there). Another was shot at local 4th of July week fair. I swear one of the women was in the last commercial. The gist of the commercial is the guy asks them what do you think of when I say ___. Some of the answers don't make a whole lot of sense if you are from here. One was donuts. One answer is Krispie Cream (ok we have ONE of those here) the next is Cream Filled Long Johns (ok generic answer), The last is Dunkin Donuts... well we don't have one of those within 50-60 miles of here and we have a local place that has been in business for 40+ years and won awards for best donuts yet it isn't mentioned? Another was Evansville, IN (the city).. one guy mentions Beanies For Baghdad.. WHAT? There are 1000s of other things with this city and he picks some obscure thing like that? Yet they all think of the same construction company.

I tend to tune out commercials a lot of the time. These are just a few I was reminded of.

I hated the Truth ads myself but I haven't seen them in a long time on tv. I seriously believed that the tobacco companies were putting those on. I never smoked and never wanted to but everytime I saw those commericals I really wanted to run to store buy a pack,find one of those "Only going to talk crap until I'm out of college activist" and puff one in there face.

Head On is just a bad product placement. It never tells what the hell its suppose to be used for. You just put on your forehead and......

I hate the Truth commercials myself.  Bunch of self-richteous hippies (I am so glad I can use that phrase).  The thing about them is that "The Truth" they presented was full of holes.

1.  The one pack of ciragrettes is going to give you cancer-and anyone you you come into contact will get cancer from second hand smoke gaurantee.  My dad has smoked, on and off, for as long as I can remember, and so far we're all fine.

2.  The cigarette companies see you as a potential customer, not as a person.  Hey theTruth, that's what EVERY COMPANY does!

3.  Wanting to close down the companies-essentially asking them to put thousands of people out of work.  And its not like smokers are everywhere.  Now a days your pretty much limited to your own home if you want to smoke-and even that's under fire.

Understand that I, WingedSerpent, am not endorsing smoking, but if you are of legal age and want to smoke-I really don't care. That's your chose.


Getting back to commercials, I remember and old one that actually scared me when I was a lot younger.  It was a parady of a slasher film.  A cute, tiny animated piggy bank is trying to hide from a man with a hammer.  The catch line was something like-"Your change isn't safe"  Just before showing the product (it was Burger King or some other fast food joint) the piggy bank is cowerring in a closet, as the man enters it and raises the hammer.  When they came back from the product, the man was counting change next to the smashed piggy bank. 

Now, after years of Friday the 13th, Hellraiser, and countless monster movies, I would think nothing of it-but as a kid I was thinking "That was horrible"

Um, if this is 93.3 WMMR-FM in Philadelphia, you have missed a joke. The voice is obviously Steve's (of the Preston and Steve morning show). He does a lot of accents but I think that one is supposed to be Philly. That commercial is hilarious. Paraphrasing: "Back-tawking... side-tawking... jive-tawking" "I'll totally transform you. I'll transform you into a horizontal slab of meat!" It's a take-off on self-help books. Tough love, Philly style.

I don't know about changing the channel, but one that makes me lunge for the MUTE button is the stupid "Vonage vs. The Phone Company" ad.  I've been watching the Star Trek TNG marathon on sci-fi today, and the volume on that particular ad is like three times louder than the program, and all the other commercials . . . that is SO annoying! :hatred: :hatred: :hatred: :hatred:

I first saw this guy on late night TV, think I was watching Elvira's Saturday night movie, his commercials started out annoying and got worse each time they were on. They had stopped for awhile and I believed Crazy Gideon had gone to the big electronics store in the sky, no such luck, he's back, #$#%&**@.

Those ones for the new Arby's turkey panini thing where the womans saying to kids, "and the duck says.." and a bunch of annoying little kids make animal sounds.  But when she asks what the turkey says the kids all moan and they show them sitting in Arby's eating nothing while their mom pigs out on a sandwich.  Hate it.

This one doesn't really make me change the channel, but I always thought it was stupid.  If you think about it, it kind of akes the company look bad.

I understand the idea.  Thay life runs smoothly when you use Visa.  But looking at it, with everyone walking in line, acting the same, I'm thinking "Good job man, don't be another cog in the machine, stand out!"  He is not to be osticized-he is to be commended.

I don't know if I've said it, but I despise the Capital One commercials about their bank locations, giant pushpins descend presumably indicating a bank location, destroying the street, the pavement, injuring people... this is funny watching a city being destroyed by the capital none giant pushpins...?   :bluesad:  :hatred:

There is a capri sun commercial wherein a lifeguard falls from his tower because of some missing planks in the ramp  , and a female announce says, "30% (I think) less is not good with everything, but it is with capri sun, which now has 30% less sugar!". Yeah, the maiming of a potential life saver is great humor I tell you.

Those Free credit report .com commercials are horrible.  The first one where he was dressed up like a pirate in a restaurant was sort of cute.  The one where he was living in his girlfriend's parent's basement wasn't bad either.  But the car one and that latest rap (?) one.  Egads, gotta hit mute immediately. 

The Wrangler commercial with Brett Favre is getting on my nerves big time.  Thanks for that long, loving shot of Brett's butt.  I just can't get enough of that. 

Any geico commercial. When I wrecked the Pimpmobile, they took over a month to get me the check (while their commercials say 24 hours) and their first offer was right around half of the blue book value. The rep actually laughed at me and said "The car isn't worth anything up there because everybody drives trucks, you're probably driving one of five or six CARS in the whole state". Obviously he's never been to Alaska.

As a long time apple user I have to totally agree with you. Ya Im glad my computer company finally has a bigger market share and some money for commercials, but for god sakes why are they trying to appeal to every trendy yuppie douche bag on the planet. There's some commercial where this rap chick keeps saying "upgrade".  Don't know what it's for, hate that song though.  The girl looks like she's been rode hard and put away wet.  There's an instant scramble for the mute button every time it comes on.

The ones my dad doesn't like is the ones that we have that keep telling us about the switch to DTV.  I don't mind them as much because if you don't keep sending those messages around people will forget then when it happens they will b***h about it saying that they were not notified of the change.

One of the more recent ones that bugs me is for this painting for the opening of the 2008 Daytona 500.  It's just annoying as hell as the way the commercial is done and it makes me about want to put my fist through the TV.  My dad said he will get it for me for Christmas, and I tell him if he would get the me I would through it out the door when I open it.

I hate those!  I also hate beer commercials that give the false sense of "drinking makes you cool".  Really, it's quite the opposite.  Also, I hate the Axe and Tag men's body products commercials.  Talk about sexist. :hatred:
