This commercials was banned/pulled in England because it offend gays, even though it doesn't say a thing about them. I guess some people are just to sensitive (said with my best lispy voice.)

Frankly I think it a riot and it makes fun of speed walker more so than gays ... then again I think speed walking is gay.

Honestly, most commercials make me laugh when I first see them but they're played so often I eventually hate them.

Lately Progressive Auto Insurance has been having commericals where people buy containers that contain various pieces of insurance.  I like the one where a guy is buying motorcycle, RV, and boat insurance while the wife didn't know that they had any of those.  I'm like, Jesus Christ, where has she been all this time?  I really liked the "bastard, you are sleeping on the couch from now until hell freezes over" look the wife had on her face at the end of the commercial.

In this one, Ernest feels the need to tell Vern about Sprite, despite the fact he's in the bathtub.  I like the end: "Hey Vern, I like your little duck!"  I have a dvd set with one disc being nothing but all the Ernest Commercials (had to be hundreds of them.  I lasted about a half an hour and they were still going), as well as some tv specials and two movies.  Granted the two movies weren't the best of the Ernest franchise, but the commercials and tv special make up for it.

I was in some store and heard some brat going off like that, , and the Mom was making SOME progress before the kid yelled "If you don't buy me that I'm telling grandma you had daddy's wee-wee in your MOUTH". She dragged that kid out to the parking lot at an extremely high rate of speed. I laughed.

Karma for that circus, I remember Johnny Vegas and the Monkey Puppet. Aren't they now hawking tea in similar ads? I was actually playing around with one of those old ITV Digital boxes during the week trying to see if it still worked.

Great story. I'm glad my kid isn't like that. My wife and I seldom buy toys, candy, etc. for our daughter when we're shopping together, so she doesn't expect it and thus doesn't demand it. Usually, the treats are bought by one of us and given to her later. More often than not, special clothes and toys are ordered online, so she gets excited about trips to the post office. And in that case, there's either something there for her or there isn't. Not saying things won't change as she gets a better idea of how shopping works, but I think we're starting her out in the right direction.

Cheers, yeah there's a new ad, which bangs on about the teabags being more eco-friendly or some hippie rubbish like that. I have some really cheap freeview box, which drove me mad - had around 30 channels yet the picture broke up all the time apart from 3 channels. I have since given up watching tv as it is crap. There is nothing on worth the licence fee, especially the trecherous BBC!

Ozzymandias speaks: I love the "messing with sasquatch" ads. I think someone else said it, but I like Flo in the Progressive ads. She reminds me of a girl who used to wait on me at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Springfield.

I also like the Axe ad where the guy sees girls walking around in their underwear to the Seeds "Can't Seem To Make You Mine."

Forgive me, but I also get a kick out some serious ones. The Detrol LA ads where the women are wearing sandwich boards signs that read "I HAVE A BLADDER CONTROL PROBLEM."

Also the Partnership Drug Free America PSA where the kid has a box of pills at school. He explains what they are "This one is for menopause, this is for my hip replacement." Usually those PSA are overly dramatic and exploitative. This one is this best they have every done because it uses humor and irony.

The one for bottled water with (a CGI?) Brains from "Thunderbirds" jigging about to Snap's "Rhythm Is a Dancer" is very good.

How is that supposed to offend homosexuals.  There was nothing homosexual about it.  There was some machismo undertones about it, but I did not see or hear anything that should really offend homosexuals.  Maybe the people it offended were men that are not really manly at all (there wives have there balls in their purses) and the men hid behind the homosexual community (who are in fact more manly than these chumps) to get their opinion across.
