Title: Attack of the B-Movies
Post by: Rev. Powell on August 18, 2008, 04:45:55 PM
What a cool idea!  This company is renting real movie theaters across the country and running double-features of old b-movies every Thursday night, for $5 admission.  I missed the first two weeks, but this Thursday I'll seriously consider going to THE BRAIN THE WOULDN'T DIE/FIRST SPACESHIP ON VENUS!

It looks like they only have about 20 participating theaters, so it's probably not in your town, but you can check the participating locations here (http://attackofthebmovies.com/locations/).

Cool!  I plan on going to several.  Luckily there's a theater in my area.  Thanks for the info!

This is a neat idea, if they were to publicize it more they might get a lot of theaters to go along with it.

Hey, that's ran by the evil theater chain that I work for (not showing at my current location, although I used to work at Stonybrook).  I must warn you that all of the presentations are from digitally projected DVDs, but it's cheap I guess and it can still be fun.  Cannibal Holocaust was originally somewhere on the schedule but it seems to have disappeared.  I thought it seemed awfully out of place...
