However, I do think, under the right circumstances, I do think that a kid who is borderline mentally ill or depressed can be pushed over the edge by listening to too much stuff that glorifies violence or suicide as a valid way of dealing with life.

Thats about all music has as an influence on me. I recall a newscaster after the Columbine shootings saying something like, "The kids involved were known fans of Marilyn Manson". Can we put it to rest that media violence and all this sh*t isn't to blame for one nut's actions? I'm sure there were killers in the past who listened to Kenny Rogers. Did we blame him?
