Title: Devolution movie
Post by: schmendrik on September 08, 2008, 02:57:55 PM
I remember seeing this one on TV on the Saturday afternoon creature feature (which in our town was called "Monster Movie Matinee").

I'm pretty sure it involved a coelacanth (sp?), which is an actual fish which was thought to have been extinct since the dinosaur days but was discovered to be alive and unchanged in the 20th century. I remembered that name because one of my brothers was really into dinosaurs and had told me about this fish not too long before I saw the movie.

Anyway, the absurd scientific premise was that if you were bit by this prehistoric fish, since it had prehysterical DNA and all that stuff, was that you would... what? I don't quite remember, but I'm guessing it involved devolving into a neanderthal or apeman.

Anybody else ever see this one/remember what the premise was/remember anything of the plot?

Ain't no flies on me.

Or stale coelacanth juice, neither.
