Title: TOP 4 HARDEST ALBUMS you listen to a lot? Post by: Allhallowsday on October 09, 2008, 11:39:10 PM TOP 4 HARDEST ALBUMS you listen to a lot?
Mine would be: THE STOOGES Funhouse THE STOOGES Raw Power THE VELVET UNDERGROUND White Light / White Heat THE PRETENDERS I love talking about records. I have even harder albums in my collection, and had even harder, but don't listen to hard stuff so much these days with so much to explore. What are your 4 hardest regulars? Title: Re: TOP 4 HARDEST ALBUMS you listen to a lot? Post by: Psycho Circus on October 10, 2008, 07:36:00 AM Exodus: "Tempo Of The Damned"
Onslaught: "Killing Peace" Metal Church: "Blessing In Disguise" Overkill: "From The Underground & Below" It took me quite some time to get into really hard thrash metal and bits of death, I listen to alot of glam rock most of the time, but these albums I always dig out when I want to obliterate my neighbours! :teddyr: Title: Re: TOP 4 HARDEST ALBUMS you listen to a lot? Post by: Mofo Rising on October 10, 2008, 05:26:35 PM I don't listen to much in the way of Metal music. I do however listen to a lot of what most people would describe as "noise."
Last Rights - Skinny Puppy - Probably their most experimental album of organic noise. I love it, but there aren't a lot of people who would like this. Psalm 69 - Ministry - There are a lot of good Ministry albums, but I picked this one from back when they still mattered. Probably their most straight-up "rock" album. Disco Volante - Mr. Bungle - A really chaotic and downright strange album that flips between metal, cartoon sound effects and bombast at the drop of a hat. Thaw - Foetus Interruptus - There are better Foetus albums, but this one seems to have J.G. Thirlwell at his most abrasively, homicidal. Title: Re: TOP 4 HARDEST ALBUMS you listen to a lot? Post by: zombie no.one on October 10, 2008, 11:29:50 PM pantera - reinventing the steel (easily their hardest album, but all the fans seemed to hate it!)
slayer - god hates us all (ditto the above comment) brodequin - methods of execution gorguts - obscura having said that I only listen to them once a month maybe, but they are the 'most regular' hardest albums I bump in the stereo... AC/DC - Back in Black AC/DC - High Voltage Def Leppard - Rock of Ages Motley Crue - Red, White and Crue Title: Re: TOP 4 HARDEST ALBUMS you listen to a lot? Post by: Nukie 2 on October 13, 2008, 09:15:52 AM What amazes me is that the Brains can go from hardcore punk to reggae rasta in a NY minute! And they still manage to sound like the same band even when they switch stylings! Musically they are the best hardcore punk band, though probably not the most notorious. Title: Re: TOP 4 HARDEST ALBUMS you listen to a lot? Post by: JaseSF on October 15, 2008, 09:44:54 PM Well I listen to the Misfits (both old and new) more than anybody else really so:

Post by: Kester Pelagius on October 26, 2008, 10:30:09 AM The "hardest" store bought CDs that seem to have made their way into my CD player the most recently of late have probably been. . .
CELTIC FROST - Monotheist CELTIC FROST - Morbid Tales/Emperor's Return* BRUCE DICKENSON - The Chemical Wedding Since I picked up Morbid Tales the CD in my player is a collection I made of various Celtic Frost tracks ripped from multiple albums with a few tracks thrown in from bands like BLESSEDBETHYNAME, MALICE IN WONDERLAND, SEPULTRURA, DEICIDE, and ATARGATIS. Or it used to be. I need to reburn that. (*) I recently stumbled on a used copy of this old album so this has been playing a lot. Very nostalgic. Title: Re: TOP 4 HARDEST ALBUMS you listen to a lot? And Hallows- if you listen to this song-it's like the Stooges meet the Apocolypse. With some jazz guitar thrown in. It's actually GOOD. http://youtu.be/39w2IqZIGk8 (http://youtu.be/39w2IqZIGk8) Title: Re: TOP 4 HARDEST ALBUMS you listen to a lot? Post by: RCMerchant on March 08, 2018, 11:19:14 PM John- Actually listen to it-musically-before you dismiss it. Give it a chance-please.
"Your digging your own grave-and your taking my feelings with you- THERES GOT TO BE A WAY OUT!" http://youtu.be/nf7_uU5HU9A (http://youtu.be/nf7_uU5HU9A) Black Flag is actually very personal music.
