This movie rocks!

Can't believe it. A film starring Tom Sizemore not only is good but also great.

"Red" is a simple story. It's about an old man (Brian Cox) living in a small town, the kind everybody knows everybody's first name. He's fishing with his dog, Red, when a group of kids start harassing him and eventually shoot the dog for fun.

But the old man won't forget about it. He's the kind of person who thinks right is right and wrong is wrong, and decides he won't settle for nothing else than an apology form the kid who pulled the trigger. Who happens to be the son of one of the most powerful men in the city. Enter Tom Sizemore.

With this alone, I think you get the picture. But the directors (yep, two of them, one being Lucky "May" McKee) keep the tone quiet and the storytelling simple, ending up with something that wouldn't be that out of place if it was filmed by the Coen Bros. I mean, we all understand Cox's character, and we root for him, but we also understand that in a situation when everybody prefers to look the other way, his attitude is as deviated as the kids or Tom sizemore's character, who just wants to forget the whole affair. Hell, you could even argue that a few times Cox looks more deranged than Sizemore. And that's saying something.

Anyway, awesome movie, Brian Cox rocks, go watch it. Damn it.
