Title: Indy's New Forum
Post by: Menard on November 09, 2008, 01:22:29 PM
If you are surprised by this, think how Indy feels as he doesn't even know about it. :teddyr:

As I have a feature on my portal for Indiana Smith's Thought of the Day, I have added a forum for visitors to leave feedback for Indy (It's your new fan club, Indy) or Though of the Day suggestions (being that I am trying to keep a daily Thought of the Day, even if I'm drawing a blank).

Stop in and say high...uh...I mean 'hi' to Indy.

You might also want to stop by, Indy. :tongueout:

Maybe a bit of both.

www.ADT.com/HomeSecurity
www.BrinksHomeSecurity.com
www.homesecurityandalarms.com

Maybe check a couple of these out before he starts stealing your underwear.  :bouncegiggle:

I can run something into the ground past the point (and ah mean well past) that it is not funny anymore; often on purpose to see when someone gets sick and tired of it.

It's sad in a way that you all have still not tired of it. :teddyr:

Indy's website: Indie's Page o' Points (http://indiespageopoints.freeservers.com/)

Uh...dude; you do know that you can register your own domain and get free hosting for it without that big header at the top of your pages?

If you don't want to pay for hosting, FreeHostia (http://www.freehostia.com/free_hosting.html) offers full-featured free hosting without ads or headers.

I knew that there were probably some alternatives available, but I barely have time to update the thing as it is, much less move all its contents to another site.  I don't care for the pop-ups and banners, either, but I do like having had the same website address for nearly 10 years now.  I'm conservative, remember? :teddyr:

However, I might try and move it next summer when I actually have some more time.

Let's see...your website address is owned by someone else, and that someone else benefits from your work rather than you.

Hmmm...could you remind me which part of that is conservative?

"Indeed, all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they have become accustomed . . . "

Thomas Jefferson, 1776
The Declaration of Independence

Indy,

I have given you moderator privileges for your own forum.

Or, at least I think I have as I have to do this by editing a configuration file rather than through a control panel.

If it didn't work, I'll try something else.
