The one I enjoyed most was "Raising Arizona", I totally love that film. That be my vote  :twirl:

Easily for me the Big Lebowski.

I haven't seen THE BIG LEBOWSKI (blushes), or the latest four movies, so my answer is qualified.  But it would be hard to beat BARTON FINK.  It's obviously not for everybody, but it's their most personal and honest work, full of their trademark humor and quirkiness, plus it struck a nerve very deep inside me.  Honorble mentions to RAISING ARIZONA and FARGO.

Fargo is the only one I've seen, and I thought it was masterful. There are a couple others on that list I plan on seeing when I get around to it.

Their latest BURN AFTER READING was released this fall.

I'm a fan of most of their work (haven't seen BURN, though) but I have to go with FARGO.

I have soft spots for all of them, but think "O Brother Whereart Thou?" is them at their mythic peak --

I'm personally a huge fan of Blood Simple.

Even though I've seen it I have absolutely no memory of INTOLERABLE CRUELTY.

Was it that forgettable... or was I just drunk?

My vote would be for O Brother, Where Art Thou?.  I figured there'd have been more votes for Big Lebowski.

It was an OKAY movie, but one I wouldn't buy on dvd or watch all that often.  I've seen far worse.

I've only seen two of the movies listed: "O, Brother Where Art Thou" and "The Ladykillers," and "O, Brother Where Art Thou" was clearly superior (IMHO) to "The Ladykillers," so that was my poll pick.

I voted for FARGO.
Awesome movie!  I own it on DVD and can watch it over and over again and never get tired of it.

To those who haven't seen it, "The Man Who Wasn't There" is very good.
Billy Bob Thornton turns in a masterful performance.

After seeing all of their films, I can say, conclusively in my opinion, that No Country For Old Men is their opus. I have never felt so involved in a movie before. The cast was brilliant, the sparse Texas scenery was photographed with the utmost care, and the Tommy Lee Jones character mouthing Cormac McCarthy's elegant, poignant soliloquy at the end chills me to the bone every time. It is truly a wonder. Again, in my opinion.

They started out early in their career with Sam Raimi. They even worked with Sam and Bruce in Crimewave, you can see the influence in some of the camera work in Raising Arizona. Also check out the cabin in the end of "Oh Brother" there's even a little audio cue that should make you think, this cabin looks familiar....

I liked THE HUDSUCKER PROXY best. Not sure I could say it's the best made film, just the one I liked best.

interesting , I would kind of have the opposite opinion really. I thought it is, technically and in terms of ideas, probably the best made film Ive seen by them, but I just couldn't get into the whole vibe of the film. too surreal/off the wall for me...I might have to give it another try

Raising Arizona is my fave, though I haven't seen all their movies.  Not by a long shot.
