Title: Would you trust this website ? Post by: Doggett on January 08, 2009, 12:01:39 PM http://www.nch.com.au/burn/index.html?gclid=CImnnKi4_5cCFUoa3godghl2CQ (http://www.nch.com.au/burn/index.html?gclid=CImnnKi4_5cCFUoa3godghl2CQ)
It looks legit to me, it's just I've been caught out before on things like this. I still get flashbacks to all viruses I downloaded when I tried something like this before... :bluesad: I'm useless at telling which sites are good and which aren't. Can you recommend any sites that have free DVD burning software... Title: Re: Would you trust this website ? Post by: Doctor Menard on January 08, 2009, 12:52:20 PM Two things:
1) Why install software to do the same thing you can do without it using Windows Explorer? If you have a CD burner on your computer, just copy and paste the files onto your CD; you don't need the software to do that. 2) Question the legitimacy of a download when the fools offering it not only are offering something to do the same damn thing that you can do with Windows* while not even being able to spell download correctly. That would automatically set off a warning for me to avoid the download. *There's nothing wrong with having software to do the same thing as something in Windows, if it does it better, has a more user friendly interface, and/or offers features Windows does not. If you are looking for free software, go to http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/ or Download.com Title: Re: Would you trust this website ? My computer already has a thing called Windows DVD maker (I really need to start paying attention to the programmes)but I can't get the clips off real player and on to the burn list. Any solutions ? |
