I hadn't even heard of it until just yesterday, when I saw the trailer for the first time. I'm sure I'd seen the title a hundred times on various "upcoming releases" sites, but I probably skipped over it each time simply because of the unassuming title. When I saw the trailer, I was blown away. When I heard "G-rated animated film produced by Tim Burton with voice work by Elijah Wood (amongst others)" I didn't expect much of any interest, but I was totally gripped by what looks like a dark, serious, somber animated film the likes of which the mainstream hasn't seen in a damn long time. |
