Title: YEEEHAAAAA!!! Monty Python comes to Youtube!!
Post by: trekgeezer on January 26, 2009, 12:42:49 PM
Evidently Amazon sales of Python material has gone through the roof since the Monty Python Channel (http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=MontyPython&view=videos&start=40) went on the air at Youtube.

If you've never been initiated into the world of Monty Python, check out two of my favorite clips.

I love Monty Python, too.  Everyone around here should, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of the younger readers weren't familiar with them.

But the reason I commented here is that this seems to be a very good use of youtube by a corporation.  Release a lot of quality, free clips that they select and control to increase the interest in the product.  Take control away from the pirates.

Here's their announcement of the channel, it's sort of funny in and of itself:

I've always felt that the original TV show was much better than the movie (which everyone seems to think is their only thing).
