Title: Waist Deep (2006)
Post by: lester1/2jr on February 10, 2009, 02:01:50 PM
This is a movie that gets more ridiculous the more you think about it, but I still liked it.  A guy has this ongoing beef with a big drug kingpin, played by rapper The Game , which results in his son being kidnapped and he has to get him back by paying a huge ransom which he has a day to figure out how to rob like 4 banks to get enough for it.   Alot of tension not unlike, say, "24", which is a joke this year so this hit the spot.  Done by the guy who did that mariah carey movie that bombed so badly.  The plot and the action sequences are very average but the actors have more personality than they usually do in these things and the dialogue has a fair amount of humor and realism.

he's not bad in it.  kind of like a pirate.    I'm not a big fan of his music, he's kind of like a west coast LL Cool J.  a sort of cartoonish nondescript all purpose rapper
